Quan em deixen, estic disfrutant com una xiqueta amb la biografia de Geoffrey Winthrop Young, destacat poeta i muntanyer anglés també conegut entre moltes altres coses per la seua implicació junt a Kurt Hahn en la creació del Outward Bound Movement. Del seu poemari Freedom, volia deixar-los amb un dels seus poemes que més m’agraden: High hills.
"There is much comfort in high hills,
and a great easing of the heart.
We look upon them, and our nature fills
with loftier images from their life apart.
They set our feet on curves of freedom, bent
to snap the circles of our discontent.
Mountains are moods; of larger rhythm and line,
moving between the eternal mode and mine.
Moments in thought, of which I too am part,
I lose in them my instant of brief ills –
There is great easing of the heart,
and cumulance of comfort on high hills."
Cuando me dejan, estoy disfrutando como una enana con la biografía de Goeffrey Winthrop Young, destacado poeta y montañero inglés también conocido entre muchas otras cosas por su implicación junto a Kurt Hahn en la creación del Outward Bound Movement. De su poemario Freedom, quería dejarles con uno de sus poemas que más me gustan: High hills.

Home, el poema em sembla prou fluixet, però evoca sensacions que es poden tenir allà dalt, en les muntanyes, i que puc reconéixer.
(perdon por no poner acentos, teclado del curro)

Tadeus, reconec que el poema no es cap obra mestra, de fet llevant contades excepcions la produccio poetica de lhome es prou mediocre, li preferisc la faceta d educador i compartisc alguns dels fundaments de l Outward Bound Movement, pero si este poema m agrada es justament per aixo, per les sensacions que evoca.
